Will of John Hollis of Pertenhall

In the Name of God Amen! I John Hollis the Elder of the Parish of Pertenhall in the County of Bedford do make this my Last Will and testament in manner and from following that is to say

I give and bequeath unto my Son Johnson Hollis Twenty Five Pounds To my Daughter Elizabeth Story five pounds And to all my Grandchildren one pound each

The rest and residue of all my Personal Estate I give and bequeath unto my dear Wife Susanna Hollis during her natural life and after her decease to my Son Edward Hollis and his Heirs for ever She and He maintaining and taking care of my Son Thomas Hollis respectively

And I hereby appoint my said Wife Susanne Hollis and my said Son Edward Hollis joint Executrix and Executor of this which I do Publish and declare to be my Last Will and Testament As witness my hand this 24th day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine - John Hollis

Signed and delivered by John Hollis the Elder as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us and in the presence of each other

This Will was proved on the oath of Edward Hollis one of the herein named Executors who was sworn duly to execute the same, and that the personal Estate of the Testator did not amount at the time of his death to the sum of £400
